Who are Mersey Tri?
Mersey Tri was formed in 1985 by a group of enthusiastic swimmers, cyclists and runners. Today, with a rapidly increasing interest in triathlon and the associated multi sports of aquathlon and duathlon, the club has grown to become one of the largest triathlon clubs in the country with a children’s group of members, as well as a steadily increasing senior membership of men and women of all ages and abilities.

We are a community based TriMark Club Bronze Accredited club.
Why Join Mersey Tri?
We are a friendly club, welcoming all new members from beginners to age group athletes, and everyone in between. We offer regular training sessions in Liverpool, Wirral, and in and around Sefton, which are a great chance to improve your triathlon and swap advice with fellow members.

As part of Mersey Tri, get involved with local running and cycling leagues, as well as events put on for members. Our members are going from strength to strength at these events, and you’ll find the team spirit infectious! We have an annual AGM and awards night to recognise the hard work and achievements of our members. Membership of Mersey Tri also offers a discount at local stores, and membership of both Mersey Tri and England Athletics Affiliation (see below) gives you the chance to be in the draw for London Marathon places.
